Life On A Dead Planet

To The Office

Today finds me in the office for the first time since November. I don’t go the office often - I don’t really need to. My team is based in Germany so unless they come here or I go there, it’s not actually possible to be in the same room together. And even though our office is very nice and if I hurry and the tram aligned I can be door to desk in about 40 minutes there’s no real need for me to be there. So I don’t go often, if at all, but today was an exception. Some people that I need to convince to follow my Grand Plan For The Betterment Of Quality where there today, so I did some schmoozing.

Also, it was a chance to get a nice Doner Kebab from the take-away around the corner, so that was nice.

I always feel a bit odd going to the office. I don’t really know a lot of people - there’s quite a high turn-over of people so every time I go there there’s another batch of fresh recruits - and the one’s I do know I cannot remember their names most of the time. Like, they know me but I’ve no idea who they are. Likesay, very awkward.

I feel like one of those CIA agents that’s been deep undercover in some South American country and whose come into the office to file his expenses. Which is a coincidence as I did actually have to do my expenses 🙂 K. picked me up after work, and after a nice dinner with my wife’s colleagues, I went to tennis, made a shite of that and now I’m home. Writing this. So, yeah. Another boring update.
